The Health Outreach Program of Elon, H.O.P.E. Clinic, aims to enhance the health and well-being of under-served populations in Alamance County and neighboring areas by delivering quality physical therapy services.

Established in 2013, it was the first student-run pro bono clinic in North Carolina, managed by Elon Doctor of Physical Therapy students. It serves as a valuable opportunity for student learning, mentorship by licensed physical therapists, and the provision of high-quality healthcare to the local community.

Campbell University's Pro Bono Clinic is dedicated to delivering high-quality physical therapy services to both the campus community and the surrounding area, aligning with the core values of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
The clinic emphasizes patient-centered care, incorporates Christian-guided views, and offers mentorship opportunities, with a particular focus on providing top-tier care to rural and underserved populations.

SHAC Physical Therapy offers free services for a range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Doctorate of Physical Therapy students conduct all evaluations and treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Since the pandemic,
SHAC PT offers both in-person and telehealth appointments to ensure the safety of our patients as well as our providers.

Mountain Area Pro Bono Health Services is on a mission to improve the quality of life, health, and function of clients while contributing to the community and fostering student education. The collaborative efforts of physical therapists, social workers, speech therapists, and registered dietitians aim to diagnose and address various health issues, from movement dysfunction to mental health and nutrition, benefiting uninsured or under-insured individuals in western North Carolina.

Notably, the clinic now offers telehealth services for physical therapy and extends its reach to individuals in Honduras.

The clinic, dedicated to sustainability and interdisciplinary collaboration, seeks to empower individuals for an improved quality of life and promote a healthier community by challenging ineffective paradigms in managing complex patient conditions.

The ECU Department of Physical Therapy operates an on-site, student-run clinic, where ECU physical therapy students contribute to improving access to care while gaining crucial career experience under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
This clinic not only provides valuable services to patients with limited or no ability to pay but also serves as a learning environment for ECU physical therapy students.
